Below the surface, living with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) can mean coping with symptoms and side effects of treatment, feeling different, and dealing with unkind comments from people who don’t understand. There’s so much more to CAH than meets the eye. CAH comes with dozens of possible combinations of symptoms, many of which are invisible to outsiders. Most people don’t see the many symptoms CAHteam members experience.

On CAHteam, the social network and online support group for people living with CAH, members discuss the chronic nature of the disease and its hidden symptoms. Throughout the year, we’ll share themes we see come up time and time again on CAHteam. We chose the image of an iceberg to represent CAH symptoms because the full impact of a CAH diagnosis isn’t obvious on the surface. Please share to spread CAH awareness!

This list is by no means exhaustive. What symptoms would you add?
